Six Week Jazz Workshop with Meliah Henry

THE APETREI DANCENTER Is excited to host……. MELIAH HENRY In a 6 week JAZZ WORKSHOP (For ages 11 and older) TUESDAY 4:15-5:15 pm NOVEMBER 5 THROUGH DECEMBER 17, 2019

MELIAH HENRY, a Slidell local, has been blessed to live the exciting life of a professional dancer for over 15 years. Starting right here in Louisiana, she’s performed with Theatre 13, the Chard Gonzalez Dance Theatre, The National WWII Stage Door Canteen and the New Orleans Hornets. In Los Angeles, she performed with Arrogant Elbow and AXIOM while being represented by BLOC Dance Agency. Meliah has since lived in Japan working for Tokyo Disneyland and most recently toured on the Oceania Marina world cruise as a dancer. In the last year, Meliah has been recovering from a second foot surgery and has developed a foot strength and flexibility curriculum. Meliah likes to focus on the “how” of technical movement and bringing a deeper understanding of our bodies. Meliah has been a guest teacher and performing artist for The Apetrei Dancenter and Ballet Apetrei and will be performing The Arabian Dance in this year’s production of Ballet Apetrei’s The Nutcracker.
